It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Aaron Hamburger, Ms. Mabey's beloved father, and devoted grandfather to Leah '11 and Aaron '16, on April 27, 2023.
Aaron was a chemist, a mathematician, an avid reader, theater-goer, gardener, and cook. He was raised by two educators, and there was nothing that brought him more pride than watching his daughter, Julianne Mabey, share her intellect, creativity, and passion for teaching at Studio. Aaron and his wife, Sally, were enthusiastic and dedicated supporters of the school, attending every Studio Players production, Gala, Circle of Friends Reception, Multicultural Festival, and Graduation, even after their grandchildren had graduated.
Aaron's legacy lives on through his loving daughter and his dear grandchildren, who share many of his interests, and his deep love of learning. We send our deepest sympathies to their family.
In tribute to Aaron's life, the family has established The Art and Chemistry of Cooking and Gardening Fund, so that his knowledge, joy, and enthusiasm will continue to blossom through our students and teachers.
