Facilities
A successful Capital Campaign, spearheaded
by trustees, parents, and alumni, has led
us to realize our dream home at 117 West
95th Street. Some
of the highlights of Studio’s new building
are: a well-equipped library, state-of-the-art
science laboratory, gymnasium and theatre,
dance and music studio, sky-lit art room,
rooftop garden, sunny outdoor yard, and a modern
kitchen to complement our Kitchen Science program,
where children help to prepare healthy
lunches each day for the community.

The Studio School uses cross-age groupings rather
than age-based grades or levels, starting with
the Threes and Fours class.

*Students often divide into smaller groups for
reading and writing, mathematics, and dance.
Lunch
A delicious, healthy, and homemade school lunch
is served to students every day, starting with
the Threes and Fours class.
Summer Camp
Summer Camp is available for all Studio students
from mid-June through July for an additional
fee.
Financial Aid
The Studio School is committed to attracting
and admitting an economically diverse student
body. Financial Aid is offered to families,
based on financial need and availability of
funds. A request for Financial Aid will
not influence the Admissions process.
Afterschool
Class Program
A variety of afterschool classes are offered
for an additional fee. Classes are held
from 3:00-4:30 p.m. with the exception of Wednesday
classes, which are held from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Transportation
The closest subway lines are Numbers 1, 2, or
3 at 96th Street and Broadway, and the B or
C lines at 96th Street and Central Park West. The
nearest bus lines are the M104 on Broadway,
the M7 and M11 lines that operate on Columbus
and Amsterdam Avenues, and the M96 stop at
96th Street and Columbus Avenue. Elementary
and Middle School students who meet minimum
age and distance requirements are eligible
for Student Metrocards.
