Capital Campaign

Six years ago, The Studio School embarked on an amazing journey.  We had a vision of having a home of our own and so we began an extensive search for one.  As we went forward, we received enthusiastic support (financially and morally), from our school community, both past and present.  In January 2003, the first step in realizing this vision of having our own home became a reality. 

The Capital Campaign enabled Studio to make a down payment and start renovating the building at 115 West 95th Street.  In the midst of this renovation, the incredible opportunity arose of purchasing the adjacent building, which would allow us to create a well equipped and spacious home for our entire school community.  It was an opportunity that could not be missed.

The Capital Campaign resumed fast and furiously one and a half years ago with Studio Capital Campaign Chairpersons, Board Members, parents, alumni parents, and friends coming together to make this second building obtainable.  As a result of their dedication, commitment, and efforts, in September 2004 The Studio School purchased the adjacent building at 117 West  95th Street.

The two buildings were completely renovated and we now have a facility that matches the excellence of our academic programs and educational approach.  We were thrilled to begin the 2007-2008 school year in our new home.  While it is time for celebration,  there is still much to be done.  It is essential for us to move forward with our Capital Campaign in order to finish and maintain our new school building.
