Admissions Checklist

How to Apply

1.   Tour and Open House

      Call 212.678.2416 x106 or you can also schedule a tour or open house by clicking here.

2.   Application for Admission

      Click Here for Application Materials , or call to request application materials.  Complete Application

      for Admission (both sides) and return with the application fee of $65 and a family photograph.  The

      Application for Admission deadline is Wednesday, December 7, 2011.

3.  Records Release

      Sign and send Records Release form to your child’s current school.

4.   Register for Admission testing

      Testing is not required for Kindergarten - Grade 2, however, please have the Educational Records

      Bureau (ERB) send results if tests were or will be taken.  For Grades 3 and above, please call the

      (ERB), (212) 672-9800, to arrange for testing.

5.   Interview Process

      Once we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule either a family interview, for 

      applicants up to three years old, or a parent interview, for applicants ages four and above, and

      a group or classroom visit for your child. 

 6.   Applicant Evening

       Please join us on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 6:00 p.m. to hear from current parents and other 

       members of The Studio School community.

7.   Notification

       You will receive notification according to the following ISAAGNY timetable.

 

Admissions Notifications and Parent Reply Dates

As a member of ISAAGNY (the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York), The Studio School adheres to the following timetable when responding to applications and files completed by Friday, January 20, 2012:

On-going School 3 & 4-year-olds (school’s option)*	Mailed on 2/15/12	3/9/12

Grades 2-8**	Mailed on 2/6/12	2/29/12

*For applicants who have completed the admissions process by Friday, February 10, 2012.

** Early notification date for sibling and legacy applicants is January 11, 2012.
